Mark
A. Kennedy
|
Mark
A. Kennedy, is a member of the Poplar Bluff, Missouri law firm
of Kennedy, Kennedy, Robbins & Yarbro,
LC, with his practice focused on civil litigation. A Poplar Bluff
native, Mark was admitted to practice in the state of Missouri
in 1979 and the state of Arkansas in 2005. He
is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals,
Eighth Circuit and the U.S. District Court, Eastern and Western
Districts
of Missouri. Mark completed his undergraduate and law degrees
at the University of Missouri, Columbia (B.A. 1972, J.D. 1978).
Mark was the
Prosecuting Attorney for Butler County, Missouri, from 1981-86.
He is a member of the Butler County Bar Association; The Missouri
Bar;
American Bar Association; Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys
(Board of Governors, 1991-2003); and the American Association for Justice.
Mark and his wife Rose have two children and reside on a farm in
rural Butler County, where they raise American Quarter Horses and
Angus cattle.

Douglas R. Kennedy |
Douglas
R. Kennedy, is a member of the Poplar Bluff, Missouri law firm
of Kennedy, Kennedy, Robbins & Yarbro, LC, with his practice focused
on civil litigation. A Poplar Bluff native, Doug was admitted
to practice in Missouri in 1984 and the state of Arkansas in 2005. He is also admitted to practice
before the U.S. Supreme Court; the U.S. Court of Appeals, Eighth
Circuit; and the U.S. District Court, Eastern and Western Districts
of Missouri. Doug obtained his undergraduate degree from the
University of Missouri, Columbia (B.S., Pub. Adm., 1976); and
his law degree from Memphis State University (J.D. 1984), where
he served as a Research Assistant. Doug is currently on the Board
of Directors for the local United Cerebral Palsy chapter, and
is a member of the Butler County Bar Association; The Missouri
Bar; Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys and the American Association for Justice. |

Scott A. Robbins |
Scott A. Robbins is a member of the Poplar Bluff, Missouri law firm of Kennedy, Kennedy, Robbins & Yarbro, LC, with his practice focused on civil litigation and representation of local governmental units. A native of Kearney, Missouri, Scott graduated from Wesleyan University, located in Middletown, Connecticut, in 1993 (B.A. History/American Government, with honors). Scott received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1996. While in law school, Scott served as a holiday break clerk for the Honorable Robert Ulrich of the Western District Court of Appeals in 1993, and served as a research assistant for Professor Douglas E. Abrams. Scott was also employed by the Jefferson City firm of Newman, Comley & Ruth, PC, as a law clerk and spent time summarizing appellate decisions for the Supreme Court publications staff.
Scott is a member of the Missouri Bar, the Arkansas Bar, the Butler County Bar Association, and the National Lawyers Association. He is admitted to practice in all state courts in Missouri and Arkansas, as well as the U.S. District Court, Eastern and Western Districts of Missouri, and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. Scott is a current member of the Missouri Bar’s Client Security Fund committee, as well as the local government and property law committees. Scott participated in the Bar's Leadership Academy class of 2001-2002, and served as the program's co-chair for 2002-2004. Scott also served on the Young Lawyers Section Council from 2004-2006.
Scott enjoys spending free time with his wife Devona, daughter Joy and son Josiah. He is currently the chair of his church’s building committee and has successfully seen the completion of Phase I of a multi-phase, multi-million dollar relocation project. Phase II is currently underway.

Chris Yarbro |
Chris
Yarbro is a member of the Poplar Bluff, Missouri law firm
of Kennedy, Kennedy, Robbins & Yarbro, LC, with his practice focused
on civil litigation. An Ellington native, Chris was admitted
to practice in the state of Missouri in 2004 and the state of Arkansas in 2005. He is also admitted
to practice before the U.S. District Court, Eastern and Western
Districts of Missouri. Chris is a 2004 graduate of the University
of Missouri-Columbia, School of Law. During his legal studies
at the University of Missouri-Columbia, School of Law, Chris
achieved numerous academic distinctions, including the George
I Wallach endowment and CALI award for his extensive work in
Modern Payment Systems, Dean’s list for all semesters of
study, Missouri Environmental Law and Policy Review Candidate,
and graduated within the top twenty-five percent (25%) of the
2004 class.
Prior to attending law school, Chris received his Bachelor of Arts from the University
of Missouri-Columbia in May of 2001, and his Associate of Arts from Three Rivers
Community College in May of 1999. In his undergraduate studies, Chris majored
in political science with an emphasis in history. Chris is a member of the Missouri
Bar and the Butler County Bar Association.
Chris and his wife Krista moved to Poplar Bluff in August of 2004. His wife is
currently teaching science at the Poplar Bluff Junior High School, and assists
with Poplar Bluff’s Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Junior High Volleyball
programs.
